Yu-Gi-Oh! players have thousands of different card choices for their decks.

Yu-Gi-Oh! collectible card and video game players construct decks from cards in their personal collections. Players use these decks to participate in matches known as duels against other fans of the series. Chaos decks gain their power by removing a player’s assets from the game. These removed assets, typically creature and spell cards, then grant additional abilities to the forces of Chaos. To defeat a Chaos deck, you have to manipulate your opponent’s cards and graveyard.

Instructions

    • 1

Select monsters that prevent your opponent from effectively using her graveyard. Many of the key cards in a Chaos deck, including Chaos Emperor Dragon – Envoy of the End and Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning, require a tribute of monsters from the graveyard. Including multiple copies of Banisher of the Light and Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer in your deck helps to prevents this sacrifice since their abilities remove cards in the graveyard from the game.

    • 2

Play spell cards that negate or destroy opposing trap and spell cards. Chaos decks rely heavily on Chaos Trap Hole and Chaos End to quickly whittle down their opponents. Using the Harpie’s Feather Duster or Mystical Space Typhoon cards can destroy these dangers before they become a real threat.

    • 3

Choose spell cards designed to steal your opponent’s key monsters. Chaos monsters will occasionally slip through your defenses. Change of Heart and Monster Reborn allow you to force opposing creatures to switch to your side for a time. Monster Reborn serves double duty -- it also can remove creatures from an opponent’s graveyard to prevent the summoning of Chaos Emperor Dragon and Black Luster Soldier.

    • 4

Use trap cards to prevent incoming attacks and destroy opposing monsters. Without the threat of the Chaos Emperor Dragon or Black Luster Soldier, Chaos deck users often rely on brute force to attempt to win. Mirror Force, Magic Cylinder and Ring of Destruction can destroy attackers while damaging an opponent. Waboku allows you to ignore all attacks in a single round.

Tips & Warnings

  • Remember the key cards of the Chaos deck. These are Chaos Emperor Dragon, Black Luster Soldier and Chaos Trap Hole. Without these threats, Chaos decks share weaknesses with most other attack-heavy decks.

  • Players can have a maximum of three of the same card in their decks.
