How to Increase the Density of Mesh in AutoCAD

When an object is designed in AutoCAD, the object's surface layers, or mesh, is created with a certain number of polygons, depending on the project settings. If you want the object to be rendered in more details, you can increase the polygon density of the mesh by altering the project settings. While this does make the object you are rendering look better, it also increases the load on your computer's CPU and RAM.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your AutoCAD program or project file.

    • 2

Open the "Options" menu and click the "Polygon settings" button.

    • 3

Click the "Meshes and wireframes" tab.

    • 4

Move the "Mesh poly density" slider back and forth to increase and decrease the density of the polygons until it is at the desired amount.

    • 5

Click "OK" to apply the settings.
