There are many ways to recycle old tube socks, but making a can koozie may be one of the simplest and most useful. In just a few steps, you can save a worn-out piece of clothing and keep your drink cool.   • Sock
  • Scissors
  • Iron
  • Needle and thread or iron-on hem tape (optional)

      Cut approximately 5 inches off the top of a tube sock to use for your koozie and discard the rest of the sock.

      Fold the rough edge of the sock under, approximately 1/4 inch deep, and iron the fold into a crease.

      Sew around the folded-over section, starting on the inside, or place iron-on hem tape into the fold and iron the crease again to fuse it.
