Instructions

    • 1

Tie your hair in a high ponytail. Obtain a few long necklaces for different patterns of hair chains. Use shorter ones if you have shorter hair. Drape a long necklace over your ponytail, twisting the necklace in the middle for multiple layers. Secure the necklace with your hair grip.

    • 2

Create a chain barrette as an alternative to long necklaces. Use pliers to cut chains or a long necklace to the desired length; try cutting three lengths of chain, each one about 1 inch longer than the other to create a drape effect over your ponytail.

    • 3

Adhere the end of the chains to a barrette with a hot glue gun, making sure they are evenly spaced. Glue the other ends of the chains against another barrette, also evenly spaced. Clip both barrettes on either side of your ponytail.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you choose to make the barrettes, use several barrettes and chains and experiment with different lengths. Choose which length fits your look best.

  • You can also glue feathers to the barrettes for added flair.
