Amazon.com uses syncing technology called Whispersync to transfer Kindle e-books from a Mac to a BlackBerry. Kindle for Mac is a free application for reading Kindle e-books that can be downloaded and installed on a Mac computer. Kindle for BlackBerry is also a free application specifically for the BlackBerry smartphone. Once you register, Kindle for Mac automatically updates the ebook library. Then Whispersync transfers e-books from the Mac to the BlackBerry.

Instructions

      Open a Web browser. Go to the Kindle for Mac page of the Amazon website. Click on the "Download Now" button and download the application to your desktop.

      Click on the Kindle for Mac application file and follow the instructions to download it to the Mac. After downloading, click the "Kindle" icon to open the program.

      Enter your Amazon.com email address and password. Click the "Register" button to sync the Kindle for Mac with Kindle books purchased on Amazon. The Kindle books automatically download to the Kindle for Mac program.

      Turn on the BlackBerry. Navigate to the "Kindle" icon on the "Home" screen and click to select it and open "Kindle for BlackBerry."

      Click the center "BlackBerry" button. Click "Sync" and then click "Check Items." Whispersync automatically syncs the BlackBerry with the Mac. Wait for the Kindle books to transfer.
