Adding a Banner to Blogspot
With predesigned websites and templates, anyone can create an account at Blogger to have their own space on the Web on a Blogspot subdomain. Whether you want to have a general place on the Web to vent, somewhere to showcase your work or a niche blog, customizing your blog makes it stand out to visitors and increases the chances that they will remember your site. One way to customize your blog is by adding a header image along the top of the page.

Log in to Blogger with your username and password.

Click "Try the Updated Blogger Interface."

Select the drop-down arrow next to the "Create New Post" button, then select "Template."

Click "Edit HTML."

Scroll down until you find the "#header{" tag.

Enter "Background:url(http://sample.google.com/sampleimage.jpg) no-repeat center top; }" where "http://sample.google.com/sampleimage.jpg" is the location to where you uploaded the header image.

Click "Save Template" to save the changes made to your layout, then click "Close" to close the template editor.
