How to Make Curved Corners in Illustrator

Vector objects in Adobe Illustrator CS5 can be modified in several ways and reshaping effects can be applied to line paths within the object. The “Round Corners” effect curves corners, creating softer, sleeker objects; with the effect, a rectangular vector shape is quickly turned into a rounded box ideal for buttons or banner graphics. The “Round Corners” effect can be applied to any vector object or vector object attribute.

Instructions

Click on the “Layers” button to display a list of available layers, and click on the layer where the vector object that you wish to modify is located.

If you wish to apply the effect to an attribute of the object, click on the “Appearance” button to display the list of object attributes and click on the attribute to be modified.
