Use a beaded curtain for privacy or decoration.

A beaded curtain lets you divide any small room in your home, such as a bedroom, bathroom or den. Beaded curtains aren't permanent fixtures, like walls, so you can take them down and move them where needed. Beaded curtains hang on a rod with two or more eyelets at the top. Use these eyelets to hang the curtain from the ceiling or door frame. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Lift the beaded curtain rod up to the ceiling or door frame where you want to place it. If your ceiling is tall, you may need a stepladder to do this.

    • 2

Make two pencil marks on the ceiling or door frame where the rod's eyelets are. Back away and check the marks to make sure they are even. If they look uneven, erase the marks, reposition the rod and make new marks.

    • 3

Put a small drill bit into the drill. Use a bit that is slightly smaller than the C-hooks you want to use.

    • 4

Drill two holes in the ceiling or door frame where you made the pencil marks. Screw two C-hooks into the holes until you cannot screw them in any further.

    • 5

Hang the beaded curtain from the C-hooks by sliding each eyelet over a hook. If the C-hooks are flexible, bend the tip of each hook slightly to secure the curtain rod. The beaded curtain is less likely to fall off the hooks if you do this.

Tips & Warnings

  • To use the beaded curtain as a wall decoration, use nails instead of C-hooks.
