How to Remove a Kenmore Quiet Guard Rack
Some models of Kenmore Quiet Guard dishwasher have a detachable top rack that can be removed to make space for large pots, pans and other items. The removal mechanism is designed to be simple to use because no one wants to fiddle around with a dishwasher during washing up. The top rack must be empty before you begin the removal process. Keep the top rack to one side while the dishwasher is running until you need it again. Does this Spark an idea?

Pull the top rack of the dishwasher outward until you can reach the plastic clips on the end of the runner arms.

Place your thumb on the plastic ridges on surface of the clip, push inward and toward the nearest side of the dishwasher. The clips come off the runner arms.

Pull the rack all the way out of the dishwasher once both clips have been removed. Slide the rack back into the runners and snap the clip back in place when you are finished.

Tips & Warnings
The lower rack can be removed by sliding forward onto the door and lifting upward.
