1
Measure each panel of the chair, including the back, the seat and the sides at the bottom, using a measuring tape.
-
2
Cut a panel of fabric to match each measured side, plus 1 inch at each edge for seam allowance. Use fabric that matches the colors of your decor.
-
-
3
Lay the panels of fabric flat and use a rubber stamp and fabric paint to apply a unique pattern. Use fabric paint that matches your decor and apply the stamp sporadically around all panels of the fabric. Let dry.
-
4
Sew the panels together into the shape of the chair, making sure the side of the fabric with the stamp pattern is on the inside.
-
5
Turn the chair cover inside out so the smooth edge of the hem is on the outside.
-
6
Flip the bottom edge of the chair cover in 1 inch and sew down, making a smooth hem.
-
7
Slide the slip cover over the chair.
-
8
Cut a piece of satin ribbon about 3 feet long. Tie it around the back of the chair in a bow.
-
9
Repeat the process until you have as many chair covers as you need.
