How to Make a Strapless Shirt Without Sewing
Being creative with how you wear your clothes can save you money and allow you to have a wider range in your wardrobe. If summer finds you in warm weather but you don't happen to have a cool shirt to wear, there are ways you can repurpose an old T-shirt or a scarf to make a strapless shirt without even taking a single stitch with a needle. It's fun, it's fabulous and it's creative.
Instructions
-
T-Shirt Strapless Top
-
1
Pull a long-sleeved T-shirt over your head and down below your armpits so the binding of the head hole lays on the upper part of your chest and under your arms.
-
2
Grab your sleeves, and pull them around your back, crossing them over one another. Then, continue to pull them around under your arms and out in front of your body.
-
-
3
Tie the sleeves in a double-knot in front, under your bust line. Tuck in the ends.
Scarf Strapless Shirt
-
4
Fold a large scarf so it makes a triangle.
-
5
Lay the triangle on a flat surface, and turn down the long side along the fold to make a second layer along the folded edge.
-
6
Hold the folded scarf up to your chest, covering your breasts and with the pointed side centered and pointing downward.
-
7
Wrap the two ends around behind you, overlapping them, one above the other.
-
8
Pull the overlapped ends back around to the front of your body, and pin each side with a safety pin to the top edge of the fold and at the top of your bust line. Place the safety pins on the inside so they don't show.

Tips & Warnings
If your T-shirt is long, you can wear it as a strapless mini-dress. If it is very short, it makes a midriff-bearing summer top.
Scarves with fringes make fun, bouncy tops that are bohemian-looking.
When you make the scarf into a strapless top, pull the wrapped ends up over your breasts for proper coverage.
The scarf shirt may come undone easily unless you place the safety pins through all layers of the fabric.
