SharePoint Crashes IE

Windows Internet Explorer allows you to connect to a document library in SharePoint. When you attempt to open the document in Microsoft Office, IE unexpectedly crashes. This is often due to the software files of Microsoft Office becoming corrupt when you launch SharePoint. To fix the IE crash problem, repair the Microsoft Office program files.

Instructions

1. Click the Windows orb located in the bottom left of the screen. Click “Control Panel,” and then click “Programs.”

2. Click “Programs and Features” from the Programs screen.

3. Click “Microsoft Office.”

4. Click “Change” from the upper right side of the Uninstall or Change a Program screen.

5. Click “Repair” in the Microsoft Office dialog box.

6. Click “Continue.”

7. Click “Close” when the repair process has finished.

8. Click “Restart” when prompted to restart your computer after the repair.
