DIY Vintage Wedding Menu Cards
Your wedding menu card gives guests a preview of the food on offer at your reception. It should also complement your overall theme. Yet, the menu card -- a small but important element in wedding planning -- is often overlooked. If you plan to have a vintage wedding theme, you should extend it to your menu card. Use readily available templates to design elegant vintage wedding menu cards.

1
Finalize your wedding menu. Obtain the full details of the menu from your wedding caterer or the hotel where you plan to host your reception.
-
2
Download a wedding menu template from websites such as The White Aisle, One Heart Weddings or Paper Source. Choose a template design that blends with your vintage theme. Depending upon your reception venue, consider vintage designs such as a chandelier icon or an intricate tapestry or filigree border.

3
Type the wedding menu text in the template. Use a calligraphic-style font to give it a vintage feel. Proofread the text for spelling or typographic errors. Print the wedding menu card on white cardstock.
-
4
Tie a piece of twine around the wedding menu card and knot it. This will enhance the vintage look and add a feel of drama to your reception tables. You can alternately glue the printed menu card to a cardstock base of the same size. Tie satin ribbons in colors that match your vintage theme diagonally at the two opposite ends of your card. Secure the ribbon into knots behind both ends of the card.
