How to Create an Agenda Slide to Organize a PowerPoint Presentation

An agenda slide is especially helpful with large presentations that contain multiple sections. You can divide your presentation into mini slide shows, then create an agenda slide to manage these multiple slide shows. The agenda slide in Microsoft PowerPoint 98 and PowerPoint 2000 contains hyperlinks to the various sections (slide shows). When you click on one of the hyperlinked topics, that slide show runs, then returns to the agenda slide so you can continue your presentation.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately challenging

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Create a custom slide show for each section of your presentation. (See "How to Create a Custom Slide Show in PowerPoint.")
Step2
Create a new bulleted list slide. (See "How to Create a Bulleted List Slide in PowerPoint.")
Step3
Type in the title of this slide - "Agenda," for example.
Step4
Type in the names of each of the custom slide shows in the bulleted list.
Step5
Select the first bulleted list item.
Step6
Go to the Slide Show menu and select Action Settings.
Step7
Click on the "Hyperlink to" radio button, then choose Custom Show.
Step8
Select the Show and Return checkbox in the Link to Custom Show window to ensure that when the custom show ends, it returns to the Agenda slide.
Step9
Click OK.
