How to Open the Hotpoint Refrigerator Water Dispenser
Hotpoint refrigerators are manufactured by General Electric and are available as top-mount or side-by-side models. Many side-by-side models have an ice and water dispenser built into the freezer door. The dispenser consists of a control panel, which is located at the top of the dispenser and allows you to select the type of ice cube dispensed, and the dispenser module, which is the component that actually dispenses the ice and water. Unplug the refrigerator's power cord from the electrical outlet or turn off the refrigerator breaker in your home's service panel.

Grasp the dispenser control panel from the bottom and pull the bottom away from the freezer door to release it from the dispenser assembly.

Disconnect the wire connectors from the rear of the control panel and then remove the control panel.

Remove the screws securing the dispenser module and pull the module away from the dispenser.
