How to Make a Stained Glass Window for Toddlers
When looking for a craft that is age appropriate for toddlers, you do not have to spend a lot of money on expensive premade craft kits. Instead, use basic materials to create a beautiful project that will be entertaining for both you and your child. For example, use colored tissue paper to create a stained glass window in your home. Tissue paper stained glass windows look complex and intricate once finished, but are simple enough for toddlers to complete with minimal help.
Things You'll Need
- White craft glue
- Bowl
- Spoon
- Colorful tissue paper
- Scissors
- Pinking shears
- Paintbrush

Pour 1 cup of craft glue into a bowl, and stir in 1 cup of water using a spoon for five minutes.

Cut out 4- to 6-inch-wide pieces of colorful tissue paper into different shapes, such as triangles, circles and trapezoids. Use scissors to cut the edges of the tissue paper with a straight, clean line.

Use pinking shears to cut out 4- to 6-inch-wide pieces of colorful tissue paper into different shapes, including flowers, stars or hearts. Pinking shears will cut the edges of the tissue paper with a scalloped, ruffled line.

Paint the diluted craft glue over a window.

Lay the tissue paper shapes over the glue-covered window, covering the window completely.

Apply a second coat of diluted craft glue over the entire tissue-covered window. Allow the glue to dry for one hour.

Tips & Warnings
Cleaning the window before decorating will make the tissue paper stained glass look more even and smooth.
After use, clean off the tissue paper stained glass, using mild soap and warm water.
