1
Measure the width of your purse frame with a measuring tape. Add 1/2 inch to the measurement and write the final figure down on a piece of paper.
-
2
Lay your fabric on a flat surface in front of you. Draw a rectangle shape that has a width of the measurement you just wrote down and a length of 4 1/2 inches. Repeat this step to create a second rectangle with the same dimensions on the fabric.

3
Cut the two rectangle shapes out of the fabric with sewing scissors.
-
4
Place one piece of fabric on top of the other with the right sides of the fabric facing inward.
-
5
Pin the fabric together on both short sides and one long side of the rectangle with sewing pins. Allow 1/4-inch seam allowance on each side. The purse frame will be inserted into the open end of the fabric later.
-
6
Sew around the three sides of the pouch on your sewing machine. Sew slowly and remove the pins as you go.
-
7
Turn the pouch right side out. Apply a thin layer of craft glue to both outside edges of the open end of the pouch.
-
8
Open the purse frame. Insert the fabric pouch through the middle of the purse frame being careful not to touch the fabric to the frame.
-
9
Match the corners of the fabric on one side of the pouch to the purse frame and gently press the fabric onto the frame. Use tweezers to make minor adjustments to the fabric positioning, if necessary. Leave the purse to dry for 10 minutes.
-
10
Repeat Step 9 to glue the other side of the pouch to the purse frame.
