How to Access the Motor Assembly on a Frigidaire Dryer FSE747GES0
The Frigidaire FSE747GES0 is a front-loading automatic dryer designed for home use. The motor assembly inside the cabinet powers a set of pulleys and belt that control the rotation of the drum. If your Frigidaire dryer is not functioning properly, there may be a problem with part of the motor assembly. This part of the dryer can be accessed by opening part of the dryer cabinet. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet. Insert the putty knife into the gap under the top panel in the front.

Press the putty knife into the spring clips located about two inches from each front corner.

Lift the top panel up and back to rest on the wall behind the Frigidaire FSE747GES0 dryer.

Remove the screws holding the front panel in place. Unplug the door switch electrical harness.

Lift the front panel up to dislodge it from the Frigidaire dryer cabinet. Set the front panel aside.

Remove the bolt in the center of the fan blade on the front part of the motor housing. Lift the fan blade out of the dryer cabinet.

Unplug the wire harness connected to the left side of the motor assembly.

Remove the screws holding the motor housing to the bottom of the dryer base.

Disconnect the spring connected to the back of the motor assembly. Lift the motor assembly out of the dryer cabinet.
