2. Move all of the cars out of the carport. Remove any items you have stored in the carport so you have a clear view of the entire area.

3. Locate electrical outlets on the exterior of your home. You can use these to plug in lights and small appliances.

4. Contact several contractors who specialize in putting in sunrooms and converting garages. Provide as much information as you can to each contractor, and collecting bids and estimates. Choose the contractor you want to do your carport-to-sunroom conversion.
