Instructions

    • 1

Place a level on the far right or far left edge of the top of the appliance to see which way the washer leans. Then place the level along the the back of the appliance to determine if the appliance is not level from front to back.

    • 2

Insert a wooden block or other sturdy object under the front of the appliance to lift it. This will make accessing the washer's feet easier.

    • 3

Turn the jam nuts that are found between the bottom of the appliance and the feet, to loosen the legs. Not all washers have jam nuts.

    • 4

Turn the legs clockwise to raise them or counterclockwise to lower them. The longer the legs protrude, the more likely they are to be uneven.

    • 5

Remove the wood block and use the level again to see if the washer is now level. If it is not, repeat the process.

    • 6

Use a wrench to tighten the jam nuts, if necessary.
