How do I Implement Hydrogen Technology?

Implementing hydrogen technology in privately owned automobiles should be your final step.

The rapidly increasing demand for energy encourages the production and expansion of hydrogen technology. Hydrogen fuel cells emit only water, unlike fossil fuels, and are efficient energy sources. Fuel cells can be used to produce electricity and as an alternative to natural gas in heating and cooling and gasoline in vehicles. For hydrogen technology to be implemented, it must be efficient, safe, reasonably priced and available.

Instructions

1. Identify sources of funding such as partnerships, grants, trusts and outside investments that can support you through the development and start-up process.

2. Develop a system to efficiently and effectively generate hydrogen and its cells from renewable resources. Produce these cells domestically and cost-effectively. Improve your technology consistently so that you remain competitive as other organizations enter the hydrogen technology industry.

3. Work closely with the Department of Energy, International Energy Agency and the International Partnership for the Hydrogen Economy to develop a safety program for the production, delivery, storage and use of fuel cells. Design a handling system to promote safe use. Conduct risk assessments to determine where safety may be compromised. Create systems to detect safety breaches and hydrogen leaks. Develop a system where all incidents can be tracked and investigated to eliminate the safety breach in the future. Establish protocols for leaks and other incidents.

4. Develop a transportation system that can handle sensitive materials. Hydrogen cells must be carefully transported as hydrogen is volatile. The transportation must be efficient and cost-effective.

5. Partner with the government and work toward receiving tax incentives. Work on zoning and national standards for hydrogen implementation. Request highway trust money be extended to your company and the hydrogen industry. Work closely with the government on regulation and legislation issues.

6. Develop an infrastructure so that hydrogen cells are readily available to the consumer. Create a storage system so the cells are not depleted between shipments.

7. Educate the public about the production, distribution, safety and usage of hydrogen technology. Answer any questions you receive or may receive from the public. Develop a customer advocacy group to reassure the public and share any new information. Provide demonstrations to the public.

8. Start implementing hydrogen technology in selected industries, such as public transportation, while you are implementing the infrastructure and perfecting the product.

9. Develop a plan to integrate hydrogen technology into private industries and the private sector.
