How to Create a Blog Subdirectory if the Subdomain Named Blog Already Exists
Subdomains and subdirectories are quite different. A “subdomain blog” has a URL such as blog.domain.com, whereas a “subdirectory blog” has a URL like www.domain.com/blog. Subdomains are spidered by search engines as separate domains, unlike subdirectories, which expand your domain and are spidered as part of the original domain. Creating a blog subdirectory has no effect on a blog subdomain.
Instructions

1
Log in to your Web hosting account and navigate to the control panel interface for your domain.
-
2
Click on “File Manager,” which is usually found in the Files section of your control panel. Select "Web Root" from the list in the pop-up that appears.
-
-
3
Click "New Folder" on the menu bar at the top of the file manager. Subdirectories are really folders inside the larger folder that is your domain. Any new folder becomes a new subdirectory. Name the new folder "blog."
-
4
Browse to your domain and type “domain.com/blog” into the address bar, replacing "domain.com" with your actual domain. The new subdirectory will load, although it might display an error because it lacks content. Load an HTML document into the subdirectory and the error will no longer appear.
-
5
Install your favorite blogging software into the new directory and start blogging.
