Instructions

    • 1

Lay a piece of felt on a flat surface. Trace two circles, 2 to 3 inches in diameter, onto the felt with a fabric pencil. Cut the felt circles out with a pair of scissors.

    • 2

Set one of the felt circles right side up on the work surface. Remove the leaves and stem from a silk flower. Place a large drop of hot glue on top of the felt circle. Place the flower right side up on the center of the felt circle. Push down on the center of the flower and hold it until the glue dries.

    • 3

Arrange two to three feathers in a group. Hold the flower with the felt backing over the bottom ends of the feathers. Adjust the feathers' positions in the grouping until it has the desired look. Place drops of hot glue on the back side of the flower's felt backing. Press the bottom of the feathers into the glue and hold until the glue dries.

    • 4

Turn the piece over so the feathers' ends are facing up. Apply a large drop of hot glue on top of the bottoms of the feathers. Place the second felt circle, right side up, on top of the feathers' ends. Adjust the felt circle until its edges line up with the first felt circle and press down firmly on it until the glue dries.

    • 5

Apply a line of hot glue to the surface of an alligator hair clip. Press the clip to the center of the second felt circle.

    • 6

Turn the piece back over so the flower faces upwards. Place a drop of hot glue in the center of the flower. Push a few rhinestones into the glue in the flowers' center. Do not push the rhinestones in so far that the glue covers their surface. Let the piece sit until the glue has dried.
