Song file to edit
Audacity is an open-source audio editing application available free for download. Audacity is very versatile and enables the user to edit audio tracks that are split into channels. Normally, a song includes several channels, with each channel containing a specific segment of the audio recording, such as vocals or percussion. You can easily remove beats from songs in Audacity if the beats are recorded and displayed in their own channel.
Right-click the song file and then click “Open With.” A list of installed programs opens.
Click the “Audacity” option. The song file opens in Audacity. A wave frequency window opens and the channels are displayed in the lower portion of the interface.
Click the “Mute” button on the "Beats" channel. The beats are muted, but the channel is left intact.
Click the “X” in the top-left corner of the channel's "Properties" box to delete the track from the project.
Click the “File” option and then click “Save” to save your changes.
