How to Block Comcast From Seeing What You Download

Comcast can track what websites you visit as well as the files you download. If you don’t want Comcast to see what you download, use a Web proxy server. Web proxies hide your IP address and websites you are visiting allowing you to download files without your Internet Service Provider knowing.

Instructions

1. Launch any Web browser and navigate to a Web proxy site. Free proxies include proxeasy.com, newipnow.com and proxfree.com.

2. Click inside the address bar within the Web proxy website and type the name of the site with the download.

3. Press “Enter.” The desired website launches within the proxy server.

4. Double-click the desired download file from the website and save the download to your computer.
