How to Do Glowing Curves in Photoshop
Glowing curves are swirling, twisted lines you can create in Photoshop that appear to glow. You can use these curves as decorative effects added to an image, as lighting elements in a painting or to accentuate parts of a photograph. Unlike some effects, you can create glowing curves using only the included tools and filters available in Photoshop by default, saving you from the expense and hassle of purchasing third-party filters.

1
Create a canvas. Click "File," then "New." Enter the resolution you want for the canvas, such as 800 by 800 pixels, then click the "OK" button.
-
2
Click the "New Layer" button to create a new layer.
-
-
3
Select the "Pen" tool and use it to draw a curve on the canvas. Click on the image with the pen tool, then click again and drag the point that appears to arch the line into a curve.
-
4
Right-click on the canvas and select "Stroke Path." Choose "Paintbrush" from the drop-down menu. Check the box next to "Simulate Pressure" and click "OK." The curve created with the pen tool is turned into a smooth, sweeping curve.
-
5
Right-click on the canvas and select "Delete Path." The path is deleted, leaving only the curve.
-
6
Click "Layers," "Layer Styles" and "Blending Options." Check the box next to "Outer Glow." A glow appears around the curve. Manipulate the glow's settings via the Blending Options box: change its color by clicking the "Color" box; change the glow's intensity with the opacity slider; and add noise via the noise slider.
-
7
Click "OK" when you're satisfied with the glowing effect.
