How to Build Backlinks Quickly
The term “backlinks” refers to links to your website on other sites. Backlinks are important for building traffic and improving your website’s search engine optimization (SEO). When you have created a new website, one of the first things you can do to increase the traffic to your site is to set up backlinks on other sites. In general, building backlinks is time-consuming, although you can use a number of methods to speed the process.

1
Put your website’s link in your signature on message boards. If you are already a regular on one or more message boards, go into your control panel and add your backlink to your signature. If you are not a regular on any message board, consider becoming one. Choose a message board that has a topic related to your website’s content. By putting your website’s link in your message board’s signature, you are creating a backlink every time you post something on the message board.

2
Emphasize quality over quantity: Focus on building backlinks on quality websites rather than on a large number of websites. This method is more efficient because websites with high PageRanks will be linked to and requoted. This means that while you yourself have only posted a single backlink, the backlink can propagate itself easily.

3
Volunteer to write short articles on well-known sites and post your backlink in the articles. This method gives your site large exposure to the audiences of already popular websites.

4
Post comments on blogs you frequent. Instead of simply reading a blog article and closing the window, leave a comment, even if you have nothing profound to say. In your comment, leave a backlink to your site. Get in the habit of doing this to create a series of backlinks on multiple blogs.

5
Participate in link exchanges. Contact websites that have PageRanks or readerships roughly equal to those of yours. Ask the owners of these websites whether they would be interested in performing a link exchange, in which you link their website on your site and they in exchange allow you to build a backlink on their sites.
