DIY Gelatin Masks
Every woman's skin can benefit from spa treatments and facial masks, no matter the skin type. There are many at-home recipes for masks and other beauty products that will save you both time and money. Gelatin masks are especially helpful for the skin, leaving it smooth while removing dead skin cells and clearing the oily deposits buried beneath the surface. Mix one packet of unflavored gelatin with 1/2 cup of fruit juice in a small sauce pan over medium heat until the gelatin is dissolved. Use any combination of apple, peach, papaya, pear, raspberry or strawberry juice for normal skin; for oily skin use lime, carrot, tomato or lemon juice. Alternatively, use 1-1/2 tsps. of milk instead of fruit juice.

Refrigerate the mix for about 20 minutes or until the gelatin starts to firm but not enough to be solid. Stir the mix thoroughly.

Apply the mix to a clean face with your fingers or a facial spatula, avoiding the eye area. Let it settle on the skin until you feel it begin to dry.

Peel it off carefully in an upward motion and rinse the skin clean with cool water and pat it dry.
