How to Set the Date in a 2006 VW Passat

The Passat represented the upper spectrum of Volkswagen's 2006 model range and was given several features that extended the car's appeal to a larger audience. A small display mounted between the speedometer and tachometer that relayed information to the driver, including the current time and date and further displayed on the optional on-board navigation system's in-dash display, added to the Passat's broad range of features. Changing an incorrect date display is accomplished by navigating through a series of menus that are controlled by buttons built into the multifunction steering wheel or through the navigation system.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn the Passat's ignition to the “On” position, but do not start the car.

    • 2

Wait for the navigation system to boot, signified by a welcome screen. Press the “Tools” icon, located on the bottom right corner of the navigation screen, once the welcome screen has exited.
