Rotating an Angle in AutoCAD

Autodesk's AutoCAD software features a professional-grade suite of CAD (Computer Assisted Design) tools. AutoCAD can be used to construct both 2D (two-dimensional) and 3D (three-dimensional) designs, and base them on real-world variables. As work on your CAD models progresses, you'll likely make countless revisions. And if you find that an object's orientation needs to be adjusted, you can visit AutoCAD's tools library to rotate the angle of the object.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch AutoCAD. Click on the "Open" button in AutoCAD's toolbar to load the project that contains the object you'd like to rotate.

    • 2

Select the "Rotate" option from the Modify section of the Home tab. Specify the point of your object that will be your base and will remain stationary, and click on the object's base.

    • 3

Click on any other point in your object, and then drag it to the left or right to rotate the object to a new angle.

    • 4

Select the "Save" option in AutoCAD's toolbar to save your work.
