How to Make a Bracelet Using a Belt
You may have outgrown your leather belt, or you may have more belts than you can use. Whatever the reason, you can put an extra leather belt to good use as a bracelet. This bracelet is a unisex bracelet, which means both males and females can wear it. There is plenty of leeway for individuality and creativity when it comes to embellishments. One belt can make a few bracelets, so you can even make matching his and hers bracelets.

1
Wrap a leather belt around the wrist of the person who will be wearing the bracelet, or use your own wrist as a guide. Overlap the ends by 2 inches and mark the spot where you want to cut it with a piece of chalk.
-
2
Cut the belt across the chalk line using a strong pair of scissors. Trim the corners a little to round them out.

3
Punch a hole 1 inch from each end with a hole-punch tool for the snaps. Hammer one side of each snap on each hole. Try the leather bracelet on first, to make sure you know which way to put the snaps on.
-
4
Paint the bracelet with acrylic paints and a small paintbrush. Paint the entire bracelet with swirly or geometric designs, or paint pictures on it, such as flowers.
-
5
Glue items onto the belt with epoxy glue, such as charms, buttons or broken pieces of jewelry. A piece of lace glued down the middle would be pretty for a girl, while some studs would be manly for a guy.
