DIY Wireless DMXs
Wireless DMX is a product created by Wireless Solution Sweden AB. This company specializes in wireless technology that controls lighting for complex lighting systems. Wires can make some lighting systems impossible, so wireless signals are sometimes necessary. The installation for W-DMX is simple, allowing for quick set-up. W-DMX does not use a fixed frequency channel. Instead, it checks several channels for interference and shifts to a different channel when one channel has interference. In addition, the system components are not visible, avoiding an eyesore.
Instructions

1
Attach the antenna to the front panel connector. Unlike with the BlackBox T-1 Pro, the BlackBox S-1 Micro does not require an external antenna.
-
2
Link the DMX source to the DMX in socket on the rear panel.
-
-
3
Use either an AC power input or DC power input to connect to the power source. You can use the DMX bypass RJ45 socket. Supply a low-voltage output of 12 to 24VDC through the RJ45 socket for the micro transmitter.
-
4
Connect the supplied trussholder brackets to the top cover. The trussholder brackets allow you to mount the transmitter in a convenient location. If you do not need to do so, you can skip this step. Now that the transceiver has been installed, you can install the receivers. You can install these at any time, even when the transceiver is currently sending out instructions.
-
5
Look at the receiver link indicator. It should have a glowing light if it is already connected to a transmitter. Do not activate it unless the light is not turned on.
-
6
Press the power button to turn on the receiver unit.
-
7
Press the function button on the transceiver. The transmitter will search for unlinked receivers for ten seconds. When the transmitter successfully establishes a connection with the receiver, the receiver’s link indicator will go on. The transmitter will establish contact with all unlinked receivers, as long as they are within range.

Tips & Warnings
One BlackBox system can have up to 512 different receivers. These receivers will only receive wireless messages from the designated transmitter. If you need more than 512 receivers, you will need another BlackBox system.
When the transmitter cannot reach the receivers, you can use a two-way signal amplifier, which works with all non-micro transmitters.
With AC input, you will need a qualified electrician to fit the correct main plug to the supplied power cord.
