1
Punch 1-inch flowers out of card stock using a flower paper punch, and stick them with pins through the middle. Then push the pins into a foam wreath, and continue until the entire wreath is covered with flowers. Use colored card stock that coordinates with the season, or simply match the card stock to your existing home décor. Hang the wreath from your door by tying a ribbon loop through it and hanging the loop on a nail or hook.

Cover an interior door with white butcher paper secured with tape, and shine a lamp on the broad white expanse. Have your child stand in front of the door, and trace his silhouette using a pencil. Color in the outline with black paint to create a shadow child. This is ideal for a child’s room.

3
Wrap a feather boa around a foam wreath, covering the foam entirely. Use orange and gold boas for autumn, a black boa for Halloween, or a red and a green boa for Christmas. A feather wreath softens up a door’s hard corners.

4
Drape an artificial ivy vine over the top of the door, allowing the ends to hang down on either side, and secure the vine in place using adhesive putty. The ivy vine gives the door visual depth and softens the door’s angular edges. For a touch of color, add red plastic berries to the vine.
