How to Give a Color to a Box in Simulink

The perspective garnered from visual aids can make it simpler to tackle complex pieces of data. MathWorks' Simulink software enables its users to diagram data with its suite of drawing and editing tools. The application also allows users to compose models and have them react based on real world variables. And if you want to enhance your Simulink diagram for further visual stimuli, you can add custom colors to the object boxes in your project.

Instructions

1. Launch MATLAB, and then click on the "simulink" shortcut in the application's toolbar to start a new session of Simulink.

2. Click on the "Open" button in Simulink's toolbar to load model or select an object from the application's "Libraries" window.

3. Click on the block or object you'd like to color. Click on Simulink's "Format" heading, and then select the "Foreground Color" option.

4. Select the desired color for your block from the color palette window that appears. Click "OK" to apply the color your block.

5. Select the "Save" option from Simulink's "File" heading to save your changes.
