How to Buzz Your Sideburns & Ears

Trim your hair to keep it well groomed.

When sideburns are blended with a buzz cut around the ears they can help to subtly balance the features on men’s faces. Keeping the sideburns and hair around the ears short requires frequent touchups; it can be beneficial to purchase your own hair trimmer so you are able to cut the hair whenever necessary. Take your time when trimming your hair so it is uniform on both sides.

Instructions

Sideburns

1. Remove all trimming attachments from your trimmer and lower the thinning plate so the blade is at the edge of the trimmer for buzzing. Adjustments may vary from trimmer to trimmer.

2. Position the blade horizontally at the bottom of your sideburns.

3. Move the trimmer in an upward direction, slowly, to cut the hair on your sideburns.

Ears

1. Remove all trimming attachments from your trimmer and lower the thinning plate.

2. Hold down your left ear with your left hand and grasp the trimmer in your right hand, switch side down.

3. Position the blade of the trimmer at the bottom of your hairline, so the blade is lying horizontally, and move the blade up in the direction of the top of your head to cut the hair.

4. Continue in this form until all of the hair around your ear has been trimmed.
