How to Log in to a Website That's Blocked by Fortiguard
Fortiguard is a Web filtering software that is commonly employed by schools and businesses. If you cannot access a specific website because of Fortiguard, it does not necessarily mean that you cannot use alternative means to get on the site. Although Fortiguard is good at blocking specific websites, a few different techniques can successfully circumvent the software and allow you to get on the sites you want to use.

1
Use a proxy server to get past the Fortiguard software and access the websites that you want to log into. With a proxy server, you visit a Web page that allows you to then surf the net through an alternate server. To the Fortiguard program, it simply looks like you are visiting the first website. Although Fortiguard might block some of the more popular proxy server programs, there are thousands of them to choose from online. You may have to keep looking until you find one that is not blocked.

Use a software program that is designed to get past firewalls and help you surf the Internet. For example, Ultrasurf and Freegate are two programs that can be used for this purpose. With these programs, you do not have to install anything on your computer. Instead, you could save a single file on a USB stick. Then when you want to access a site, plug the stick into your computer and start surfing.

Set up a remote connection between the computer and your home computer. A number of programs, such as LogMeIn's Java viewer, make it possible to do so. You will need the IP address of your computer to set up the connection. Then, you access the connection and you will see your home computer's screen. At that point, you can use your home computer from the computer that you are on.

Tips & Warnings
Be careful when using any of these methods. If your employer or school has gone to the trouble of setting up Fortiguard, you are most likely not supposed to access the websites that are blocked.
