Use a proxy server to get past the Fortiguard software and access the websites that you want to log into. With a proxy server, you visit a Web page that allows you to then surf the net through an alternate server. To the Fortiguard program, it simply looks like you are visiting the first website. Although Fortiguard might block some of the more popular proxy server programs, there are thousands of them to choose from online. You may have to keep looking until you find one that is not blocked.

Use a software program that is designed to get past firewalls and help you surf the Internet. For example, Ultrasurf and Freegate are two programs that can be used for this purpose. With these programs, you do not have to install anything on your computer. Instead, you could save a single file on a USB stick.
