How to Make an Elephant Towel for a Baby Shower
Towels are a very practical and useful gift at a baby shower, but typically are not very exciting. To make this gift more interesting, try folding them into an animal shape, like an elephant. Choose towels that have a cute pattern or colors that match the baby's room. If you know the gender of the baby, you can also select traditional colors, blue for a boy and pink for a girl. You need two equally sized towels to make an elephant. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Lay out one towel on a flat surface. Fold either end inward slightly, making the towel into more of a square than a rectangle.
-
2
Roll each side of the towel to the center, making two cylinders in the towel. Fold the towel in the middle, curving the cylinders into an arch so that the rolled sides face towards the outside. This is the body and legs of the elephant.

3
Lay the second towel on a flat surface. Choose two corners that are on the same side of one of the long sides of the towel. Roll each corner towards the middle, forming a cone shape.
-
4
Turn the cone over so that the rolled side faces down. Pull the towel at the top of the cone down, pulling about halfway down the cone. This forms a face and ears. You can shape the ears somewhat to define the elephant's face.

5
Put the elephant head, rolled sides down, against the legs to complete the towel elephant.
