AbiWord gives you charting along with word processing.

AbiWord is a cross-platform word processor created in 2001 and ported for Linux, Mac OSX and Windows. Creating a graph in AbiWord is a uses the Gnome Office Chart wizard. It is a seamless integration that pre-installs with AbiWord, giving you a full-function graphing tool that provides dozens of chart types.

      Open a new document in AbiWord.

      Click "Insert," then "Object. From the selections, choose "Gnome Office Chart..." A dialog box opens that allows you to enter your data for your chart.

      Select "Chart1" item and click "Add," then "Plot to Chart1" to choose the type of chart from one of up to 50 selections from the drop-down menu. A generic chart of the type selected appears in the top right of the dialog box. Once you select the chart type, enter your data, legends, titles and customize chart.

      Click on the chart type in the upper left window under "Chart1" to add data. Click the "Data" tab in the lower half of the pane. Then type in the data in the "Values" text box, separated by commas. These values define the height of bars in a bar graph, the percentage of the slices in a pie chart or any appropriate delineation for a corresponding chart or graph. Type corresponding labels for each value in the "Labels" text box directly below the values, again separated by commas.

      Click "Apply" to create the chart in the AbiWord document.
