How to Make an Herb and Pepper Wreath
A handmade herb and pepper wreath makes a charming addition to any kitchen. The wreath, made with a variety of dried herbs and vibrant chili peppers, will brighten a wall or door. If you have a chef in your life, treat him to this culinary wreath. Food- and plant-inspired wreaths will also make thoughtful presents for garden lovers. To save money, use herbs and peppers from your garden to make the craft.
Things You'll Need
- Assorted dried herbs
- Scissors
- Twine
- 12-inch straw wreath base
- Hot glue gun
- Dried chili peppers
- Wire wreath hook

Cut the stems of several types of dried herbs, such as oregano, basil, cilantro, lavender, chamomile and mint, to 4 inches in length. Secure them with twine to create 6 or 7 bundles. Gather one type of herb per bundle, or mix them for a varied look. Tie the bundled stems with twine and cut off the excess twine.

Place a few dabs of hot glue onto the back of one dried herb bundle and press it onto a 12-inch straw wreath base at a slight left angle.

Continue gluing the herb bundles onto the wreath base at slight left angles until the perimeter is covered.

Glue dried chili peppers to the wreath to add a pop of spicy color. Apply hot glue to the backs of the peppers and press them directly onto the dried herbs at random locations.

Insert a wire wreath hook into the back of the completed craft for hanging.
