How to Make a Baby Headband With a Knee-High
Baby girls are sometimes born with little to no hair. Although you may dress her in pink to signify she's a girl, you can also place a soft headband with a bow on her head. Store-bought headbands can be expensive and cover a majority of the baby's head. Keep what little hair she does have exposed and cut the cost in half by creating your own headbands with knee-high nylons. This method requires no sewing and allows you to create a number of headbands with your choice of bows or other accents.

1
Place the knee-high on a flat surface and smooth out any wrinkles.
-
2
Cut the knee-high just above the heel and just under the seam for the panty line. Discard the leftover fabric. You now have one long nylon strip.

3
Measure 2 inches upward from the bottom cut line and cut across the knee-high. Measure 2 inches upward from the new cut line and cut again. Repeat the process until you have no more fabric to cut. You're left with a selection of 2-inch nylon squares.

Hold one 2-inch square and insert your two index fingers inside the fabric. Pull outward to stretch it until it coils up into a thin headband. Stretch to your preference.

5
Heat the glue gun. To keep the headband in a rolled formation, place a small dab of glue on the interior of the headband. This will keep the headband coiled into a thin band. Place another small dab of glue on the exterior of the band and press a bow or small silk flower onto the glue.

Tips & Warnings
Use very small dabs of glue so they're not noticeable when the baby is wearing the headband.
Make sure bows or flowers are secure on the headband so the baby can't pull them off.
