How to Add a Security Issuer in Firefox
If Firefox displays a warning about a missing or outdated security certificate when you attempt to access a secure website, you may need to add the root certificate for the website's security issuer to eliminate the problem. A website that uses encryption to protect your username and password information does so using an electronic security certificate that verifies its identity. Companies called "certificate authorities" operate as security issuers, giving security certificates to websites. If you add the "root certificate" for a certificate authority to Firefox, Firefox automatically trusts any website with a certificate from that issuer.
