A werewolf, also referred to as a lycanthrope, is a mythical creature that can transform from a human to a wolf when there is a full moon. Often used in fables or myths, a werewolf is a popular creature during the Halloween season. The mystical creature has also been featured in movies such as "Teen Wolf" and the "Twilight" series. Instructions

    • 1

Cut out a small rectangle (small enough to fit inside the sock) from cardboard. Fold the rectangle in half widthwise.

    • 2

Place the folded cardboard rectangle inside the toe section of the sock, so that the open side of the cardboard faces the tip of the sock. From the outside of the sock, use your hand to push the tip of the sock into the opening of the folded rectangle until you meet the crease in the cardboard. Use a hot glue gun to glue the sock to the inside of the folded rectangle. This will form the mouth of the wolf so that you will be able to place your hand in the sock and open and close the mouth of the puppet.

    • 3

Glue on two googly eyes and a rubber dog or wolf nose above the mouth.

    • 4

Cut out two triangles for werewolf ears. Color the triangles brown with a crayon or marker and glue the ears onto the sock above the eyes.

    • 5

Use a hot glue gun to glue brown fur onto the open sections of the sock and ears.

    • 6

Place your hand in the sock and around the cardboard to work the puppet.
