How to Make a Tie Bar
Tie bars, sometimes also referred to as tie clips, are an attractive accessory for men. While many men wear ties for work and social functions, few wear tie bars. You can distinguish yourself from the crowd by wearing an eye-catching handmade tie bar. Shape air-dry modeling clay into a bar shape that's slightly longer than the length of the bobby pin. You can make it as wide as you like, but make sure that it's slightly wider than the width of the bobby pin. You can also add decorative touches, such as different colored dots of modeling clay. If you want the tie bar to have a design, use a toothpick to draw a pattern.

Allow the modeling clay to dry according to the manufacturer's directions. This should take about two hours.

Adhere the piece of modeling clay to the bobby pin using superglue. Allow the superglue to dry thoroughly, then pin onto your tie.
