How to Make My Own Diamond Name Belt
A diamond-studded belt would be marvelous to have, but of course it would be prohibitively expensive. If you want a belt that appears to be diamond-studded, you will have to use faux diamonds, known as diamante rhinestones. These plastic diamonds can be used to embellish accessories and clothing and look just as sparkly as the real thing. Diamante-studded belts can add pizazz to your outfit. You can make your own belt and personalize it with your name. You can also use this craft to identify staff or team members by writing their name in diamante rhinestones. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Damp cloth
- Belt
- Glue-on diamante rhinestones
- Strong adhesive
- Small disposable bowl
- Tweezers
- Marker
- Stencil

Wipe the belt with the damp cloth to remove all debris, oil and dirt. Leave it to dry completely.

Lay your diamante rhinestones out on your work surface. Its best to get rhinestones that have a silver backing so they sparkle nicely.

Use the stencil to write your name on the belt. Write the name in the middle of the belt so it's at the back. You can also write the name in smaller letters in the front if you prefer. If you want to decorate the belt with diamante rhinestones, mark their positions with the marker.

Pour a little of the adhesive into the bowl. Pick up the diamante rhinestones with the tweezers, dip the back of the rhinestones into the adhesive and press them to the belt so that they cover the marker lines. When you have covered all the marker lines, leave the belt to dry completely before use.
