Things You'll Need

  • Bowl
  • Acidic cleaning solution (white vinegar, lemon juice or Worcestershire sauce)
  • Soft-bristle toothbrush
  • Lint-free cloth
  • Polishing cloth

      Fill a bowl with an acidic cleaning solution, such as white vinegar, lemon juice or Worcestershire sauce.

      Place the jewelry in the bowl filled with the acidic cleaning solution. Allow the jewelry to soak for 10 minutes. Turn it over occasionally to expose the opposite side to the solution as well.

      Remove the jewelry from the bowl. Scrub it gently using a soft-bristle toothbrush. Focus on the areas covered in spots, if they were not removed during the soaking process.

      Place the jewelry into the acidic cleaning solution again. Remove the jewelry after about three minutes.

      Dry the jewelry using a lint-free cloth. Polish after drying using a polishing cloth, if necessary.
