Purchase a kit online or from a specialty shop that will meet your needs. If you are unfamiliar with German candle pyramids, get a simple kit with interlocking pieces so that you can easily build the base.

Connect all the base pieces. If necessary, use a hammer and nails to secure pieces to each other. Put the rod in the center of the base. If you are using a metal rod, slide it into the hooks on your base. Attach a dowel rod with a nail and an acorn nut.

Build the second platform of the pyramid if your kit includes one. Attach it to the rod. If you are building a one-story pyramid, assemble the fan and attach it to the rod.

Decorate the pyramid. Glue wooden figures to the base and hang metal angels from the top of the pyramid. Spin the platform after each addition to make sure it spins properly.
