How to Brighten Fingernails
You do not need high-end treatments to get a gleaming set of fingernails, whether you're working on your own, or someone else's fingernails. Using simple materials from your kitchen and bathroom, you can quickly make dull nails look clean, shiny and sleek. Things You'll Need
- Nail polish remover
- Emery board
- Bowl
- Lemon juice
- White vinegar
- Nail polish

Remove any nail polish with a cotton ball or tissue and nail polish remover. Wash the hands with soap and water afterward to remove any traces of the solution.

Shape the nails with an emery board. A smooth, sleek shape will maximize the appearance of the fingernails. Wipe the hands with a clean rag or towel to remove any nail residue.

Pour lemon juice in a low bowl. Soak the fingernails in the lemon juice for about 10 minutes.

Mix distilled white vinegar and warm water. Brush this combination on the fingernails.

Wash the hands and nails thoroughly.
