  • Bar of soap

Instructions

      Remove the mattress and the box spring and set them aside.

      Remove one screw from the wooden bed frame using a screwdriver.

      Rub the threads of the screw on a bar of soap. The soap prevents the screw from creaking against the wood.

      Replace the screw into the bed frame using a screwdriver. Tighten the screw firmly, as loose screws can also create noise.

      Repeat steps 2 through 4 for the rest of the screws on the bed. Doing the screws one at a time prevents the need to disassemble the bed.

      Replace the box spring and the mattress.
