1
Purchase a 1/2-inch-thick plywood panel equal to the desired size of the headboard. Most home improvement stores will cut plywood to size for free or for a nominal fee.
-
2
Measure and cut a section of faux leather fabric to cover one side, the edges and a 4-inch perimeter on the back of the plywood panel. For example, if the headboard panel measures 60 inches wide by 36 inches tall, cut a 69-by-45-inch-wide section of faux leather. Add 9 inches to the width measurement and 9 inches to the length measurement to account for two 1/2-inch-thick edges and two 4-inch sections on the back of the board.

3
Place the faux leather face down on a flat surface. Center the plywood panel on top of the fabric. Pull the faux leather fabric over the top edge of the plywood and staple it in the center. Work from the center staple out to both corners, stapling the fabric onto the wood every 1 inch. Fold the fabric at the corners and staple the fold.
-
4
Follow the process to staple the remaining three sides of faux leather to the plywood. Flip the panel over.
-
5
Arrange 12-inch square mirror tiles on top of the faux leather fabric as you like. For example, turn the mirror tiles diagonally so that the side points touch and line them up in rows along the faux leather panel, creating a diamond effect.
-
6
Remove one mirror tile. Attach a peel-and-stick mirror tile adhesive square to each corner and the center of the back of the tile. Place the mirror tile face up on the faux leather and press down on the corners to attach the tile to the fabric. Follow the process to attach the remaining mirror tiles to the fabric.
