How to Use the Bose Remote

Each Bose home music system comes with a small remote control for switching between functions, performing tasks or adjusting settings. When using the remote with your Bose system, stand within 20 feet of the system and aim the remote control at the front of the device.

  • Press the "On/Off" button in the upper left corner of the Bose remote to toggle the system between On and Off modes.

  • Press the "FM/AM," "CD" and "AUX" buttons to switch between the system's primary functions. Use the "AUX" button only when you have an iPod or other external device connected.

  • Press the "Mute" button to silence the system's speakers. Press "Mute" again to restore the sound.

  • Use the up and down arrow buttons to adjust the volume.

  • Use the "Track," "Play" and "Stop" buttons to control the playback of the CD player. Pressing the "Stop" button twice will eject the CD.

  • Use the "Tune" buttons to navigate between radio stations when in "FM/AM" mode.

  • Use the "+" and "-" buttons to adjust the time that is displayed on the front of the Bose system.

  • Press the "Alarm On/Off" button to enable or disable the system's alarm feature.
